Tax Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual, trust, foundation, partnership and corporate tax returns, including consolidated and multi-state returns
  • Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated payments and assist with tax audits and light research projects
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Address roadblocks by asking appropriate questions and seeking counsel
  • Set effective work assignment priorities
  • Perform procedures in accordance with firm standards in an accurate, thorough and timely manner
  • Wide knowledge of accounting procedures and tax laws
  • Earn the confidence, trust and respect of clients and colleagues
  • Continually develop technical skills and industry knowledge
  • Demonstrate initiative, independent thinking and sound business judgment
  • Represent the firm in a positive and professional manner


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting
  • Exceptional integrity, values, principles, and work ethic
  • Superb verbal communication, business writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, organization, and project management skills
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
  • Tremendous attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to think independently
  • An interest in professional development
  • Computer proficiency using Excel, Word, tax and audit software, experience in CCH ProSystems Engagement and Axcess is a plus
